Description
The OMNIKEY 5427 from HID is a high-performance smart card reader with keyboard wedge support. It reads data from smart cards and displays this information in any application by emulating keyboard input. With its native CCID implementation, it supports Windows, Linux and MAC operating systems without the need to install additional drivers. Dual frequency functionality enables simultaneous support of low and high frequency cards, including iCLASS Seos, HID Prox, iCLASS SE, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, MIFARE Ultralight and MIFARE DESFire EV1, EV2 and NFC.
The OMNIKEY 5427 is also available with Bluetooth Low Energy as an option. This allows mobile ID cards from HID Global to be optimised for access to computers, networks, data or the cloud. Firmware updates and configuration settings are easily carried out via a web interface, SNMP or configuration cards. In addition, the Developer Tool Kit (DTK) provides product samples, development documentation and access to the HID Global developer portal.
